Thinking of getting 99 CC SB 2WD truck, but don't want to just blow the back tires off of it. Does anyone make a four link for the rear end for the SD? What have some of you 2wheel guys done to get these trucks to hook up, or is it a waste and should I just go 4wd?

Find a way to control spring wrap soften the rear spring pack up so you can hit the tires alittle . Make the rear work for weight transfer, loosen the front up lose the sway bar in the front if equiped. Just a few ideas I have. My way of thinking these trucks just are too stiff in the rear. But as I said you have to control the spring wrap, if I do a bad a$$ long burn-out as the tires start to bite axle wrap is noticable. It does not help that I have a tall tire and the truck is 4x4.

Drop your air pressure a lot for starters but if you are going through the hassle of a 4 link I'm assuming you are going to be running slicks too. Is this going to be a designated race truck? I'd drop the CC for a RC. I think if you went to a Kelderman air ride it is a 4 link. It at least has radius arms that should eliminate all wrap. And with the air ride you can control your ride height a bit so that may help as well. If you don't want to completely revamp the entire rear suspension then get some traction bars that mount in two places in the back with some sort of slip joint or shackle in the front. This style traction bar will eliminate all your axle wrap as well.

But all of those trucks have been built to go down the track 4-link and coilovers so if he want's to spend the cash on a set-up like that it will lanch.

Not a drag truck, just something to have fun with on a daily basis, hence the CC as opposed to the RC. I have a RC now and it's only comfortable for two guys, or six cheerleaders. Never thought of the kelderman system, that seems like it would be the closest thing to bolt on for a DIY'er four link. Anyone have any experience with the kelderman set up on a 2wd? Thanks again guys.
