In-tank pre-pump Mod...

I know you said it would not make a diffrence on the engine being any quieter or louder, but it did..

Drove the entire way home with the radio off.. Never heard the engine and this morning on a cold crank and drive didnt hear the knocking.. :rockwoot:

Ill have to wait for winter for the real test but I think it's working!!

PS. doable by one person MY ASS!!!!

Hmm Ill re-iterate! Me doing it by myself with the crap tools and no jack would have never happened....

And I still think one person doing it is either someone looking for frustration or likes misery.. OR your a big fat boy and your GUT held up the tank so you could use your hands??? Guess you are a BIG BOY! :poke:

Me holding the tank up while Bryan worked the steel band into position to start the screw was a BEAT down.. The rest not that bad...

Budro, I havent filled the tank yet I wanted to see if it got low if I would pull any air in.. Im filling up on the way to the house.

Yes that diesel was a good Coffee!!!

If you did it alone nothing but props to you!! Just having some fun same as you, Bsing!

Budro yeah I filled up... 30 gallons 85$ I checked for leaks at the top and the bottom and no leaks Stress or other wise.

So this is something that cannot be done by removing the bed?

Good to hear your pleased with the results though, always sucks when you spend time on a project and then can't really tell if there is a difference.

In your case (with stacks and a dually bed) I imagine dropping the tank would be easier, unless it's completely full of fuel. Then again, there will be plenty people there to wrestle the bed, too.
