It reads: S 169 S

I want to change the rear differential oil, but I am not sure if I have limited slip or not. I don't see anything on the driver's door about it either. Anyone know what my tag means? Also what oil does everyone recommend? I know syn. and 70w-140, but brands.

I dont know what that tag means. Never see anything like it. The tags on these truck have the gear ratio stamped right in it

and one of the series of numbers would say

4 10 = 4:10
4L 10 = 4:10 limited slip
3 55 = 3:55
3L55 =3:55 limited slip

As for what cam in your truck from the factory, look on your door jam sticker under AXLE and get the code then go here

On the vehicle tag (there should be one on the driver's door jamb), what does it list for axle code? I used Redline 75W-140 Synthetic in mine since I towed a fifthwheel with it. Cheers!
