Anybody know where to get a heavy duty or high output alternator? I'm on my 3rd one in as many months; have had a few more over the years before these also.

Looks like that one's for dual alternator set-ups, or does it matter?

They are a bit pricey but my WranglerNW 200 amp alternator is going strong. At idle it is at 14+Volts and is near max output. Stan Hackathorn is the man to talk to 800 962-2616. Kit includes new 1/0 welding cable charge and ground cables with a Mega or Maxi fuse for 250 amps. Make sure the batteries are still good and full charged before hooking the new alternator up. They can burn out trying to charge a dead battery. Not designed for that.

I was gonna ask about the cable and fuse. Guess I'll go ahead and do that too.

Definately replace the wires, at the very least the stock ones are kinda small and crappy. Don't overlook the car audio world, some of the stuff is really over priced, but if you look around you will find in most cases even the cheap stuff is significantly better than stock. I can get really nice power cable for about the same as welding cable that has a much higher bling factor. Of course I get stuff at cost :D
