Yeah I know.... my truck has one of those spinning muffler thingy ma jigs that woooo woooo.
Anyways.... Mr. roberts... from what I understand... headers are for the big boys... ya know... trucks without PMRs.

the only hard data i've seen is bunting's set that warped and cracked and had to be machined... would like to see something else oke:

Mine work as advertised. I don't have any hard concrete before and after numbers but I really feel that they made a difference in my application. I haven't noticed any warpage or cracks in mine either, and that was one of my main concerns when I was consider putting them on the truck. I would also say that I have had them as hot as anybody else on multiple occaisions. The only issue that I have had is the coating coming off the outside of the headers. It started flaking off right after the first run. I never bothered to call Lott about it because I actually think for my application it is better to not have the outside of the headers coated so they cool down after I COOK them going down the track.
They are staying on my truck if that makes a difference.

On Edit: If I have to replace them I would investigate getting a set that is made of a thicker wall and coated inside with ceramic, and outside with some sort of heat dissapating coating. BUT that is for a pulling truck, daily drivers should be plenty fine with the standard offerings.

No he did not.
BB is the only person to have hurt a set, but he is also known for tearing up alot of other things as well.
Headers are for those that already know that they will work for them and why.
If you have to be sold on them more than likely you have no use for them.

I was actually going to buy a set in spite of the 6oh sound they provide to a 7.3, but time didn't allow the wait so bought a brand new set of stock manifolds and coated them inside only with the stupid tough ceramic stuff. I only had time to install the driver's side (compounds kinda take up the pass side AREA) and it's been about 6 months and it doesn't even look like it's heat cycled one time yet. In contrast in that same period of time the pass side has cracked right down between 3 and 5 and is puking soot out the slot....lol

Couldn't you monitor and record the before and after data from AE instead of dyno'ing the truck?
