Thanks for the feedback David. We wanted this site to be exactly what you say, yes we are priviliged to have a lot of the top guys here, and at the same time we recognize new people are the key to successful growth.

There's only so many times the same people can talk about the same things before it's :lame: LOL

Dave, I have a head full of useless knowledge after the years (I'm 52) I've spent doing, well a lot, but when it come to this 7.3 beast with its HEUI's and electronics with all the BS that goes with it, well it is a different world. I've only played with the 7.3 for two years now - so I ain't no rock star - in this field anyway!! At TDS, I usually didn't get a very good (if any) answer to a problem, I'd have to endure endless BS, and didn't have much fun either. BTW, usually, the only time I would get any realm of a technical answer to diagnostic questions, came in the form of a PM, because most folks over there don't want to post technical answers because of the overwhelming amount of BS arguing that would ensue after their post. I hope here, this doesn't become an issue, and the site can exchange info and maintain the informal, fun, bantor.

Please don't let that stop or impede you. Just because you might not be an Ex-Purt in something doesn't mean you don't have something to contribute. Let's say in fuel systems you might have an excellent point/view on types of clamps or even fittings that you've found works really well. I would just put the info in the context where your experience might be. Just take me ... I'm no expert by any means in fuel systems, but I spent 10 years in Navy R&D (1980 to 1990 so it's a little dated ) after getting my Masters in Acoustics/ASW dealing a lot in cavitation type issues with submarines/torpedoes and worked with what I consider some of the nation's premier Acousticans and learned a lot from them and hence I feel I have something to contribute in some limited areas. Also, what I have learned after following the "Diesel World" for the past 6 years is that these beasts can be some of the most cantakerous mechanical contraptions around. Just take oil. .. some love one and hates another and it's just the opposite based on another members experience even with the same year truck.

There are always two and maybe a lot of different points of view so try and keep that in mind when posting ... I know it can be hard at times and I'm just as guilty as the next in forgetting that, but I try and remember.
