I bought a 96 7.3 obs with an E4od trans sometime last year from a guy who was the second owner of the truck, he told me the original owner had done a few modifications to it but he was not sure of all that had been done. From my inspection it has a 3 inch down pipe, also has a egt pyro and a boost gauges on the pillar. The thing is strong and fast (lol). Under heavy acceleration it gives stiff shifts. I was planning on doing some power upgrades and wanted to start with the trans but I have no idea if it has been modified already. Is there a way that I can tell without opening it up? (I don’t want to if I don’t have to.)
