Motorcraft glow plugs for $3.19 a piece with tax included. :redspotdance: The dealers all want $25 a piece!
A word of warning BEFORE YOU TRY THIS though....Go onto the Auto Zone web page & print out the $2.99 price on a sheet of paper. I drove 30 miles out of town to pick up 2 sets. I get down there & he goes to ring me up for one set & says "All 8 will be $67" I'm like HUH!?! He said that there was no way they could beleve that unless I could print off the online page. So I got into an arguement with them & drove about 20 miles or more to the nearest computer with a printer & printed off the page to show them. I then drove another 20+ miles back there shortly before they closed & showed them the paper. Sure enough I walked out of there with 16 glow plugs for $46! The best part was that I had $20 credit on my Autozone card so one set of 8 only cost me $5. Really helped make up for the whole trip, since I called 2 dealers & both told me $25 a piece for the same thing! $25 x 16 = $400 or $3 x 16 = $48 So I saved $352 which easly paid for all of the fuel I burned up getting there & back!
Whew...what a night!

Oh yeah in case any one else wants to know, just go to the Auto Zone webpage & punch in ZD9 for a part name. Should take you right there.

The reason they are so cheap is Autozone is not gonna stock them anymore. It is my understanding from an Autozone employee that Autozone has none available on the westcoast right now.

Yep & guess what those are $2.99 as well, real Motorcraft. :ford:
Just punch in ZD11 in product search & print off the online add. Tell them to price match it & put Autozone online as the competitor. Tell them to try it, it will work.

heres somethin else to remember. autoxone gives 10% off to military, firefighters, and policemen. so if your any one of these 3 tell them and they will knock off another 10%.

ive been in there more than a dozen times and theyve never given me a discount. Is it posted on their website somewhere?? or is it just a local store deal???

i dont know. whenever they ring it up i show them my badge, and ive seen people show military i.d.'s and get the 10% off. just ask and see what they say

That seems to be the word with the IDI plugs too. Sit on the phone & call around to see who has em then either run over & get em or have a buddy do it. It would still be worth it for you Powerstroke guys to pic up the IDI plugs too if you have the $$$. Remember the dealer charges $25 A PIECE for em. Or you can get the for $3 & re-sell them for $5-$6 to some guy who really needs em. He'll be saving money & you'll be making money so everyone's happy! :ford:
