Before I go machining the afternoon away, does any one out there make a back plate to fit the GTP38R compressor housing to the GTP38 bearing housing?

Thanks in advance....

It seems there has to be a easier way..... Are you just trying to upgrade the compressor wheel?

can i ask why?
Sure.

-Drop in capability
-Journal bearing reliability
-Rebuilding cost (Cheap to rebuild if you need to. You CAN NOT rebuild a GTP38R. You must turn the cart into Garrett for an exchange.)
-Cost (Don't really feel like paying $1500+ for a GTP38R)
-Something different
-Upgrade from stock

Kinda sounds d66 ish...but bean prob would have been your best shot.
He has a few adapted parts, for van turbos etc....
Might want to check on his brass doughnuts though, seems like someone said they were pretty good.

Good call Mike, only I don't want to stuff the even larger wheel in the non-antisurge housing.

I haven't had a single bit of surge with my bigger wheel in my non-antisurge housing.

If you get a big enough turbine housing you won't have much issue with surge. Only option for a housing is buying a ats housing and machining it.

Bean, I don't understand what you're saying. I have the GTP38R comp housing and comp wheel here in my hands.
