Hey guys I was just thinking about picking up a new gtech to see what kind of times my truck is capable of. I had one of the original ones and used it to tune my stang, it was about 1/10 of a second off on my 1/4 mile times. I was wondering if anyone is using one and having accurate results?

:tree:

Thanks

Thanks thats something I didnt think about. But what do you mean? Doesnt it just run of of the cigarette lighter?

You looking at the one that only plugs into the cigarette lighter? Wonder how accurate those would be since they read RPM's from the lighter adapter itself. Gonna be tough since these trucks have such a low RPM redline.

If you get a unit that plugs into the OBD-II port, then it definately won't work on our trucks.

I have the one that plugs into the lighterit doesnt work on the 6 leakers it wont pick up a tach signal but on the 7.3 it works good I dont think i could really believe the hp and torque numbers but they are close as well my 1/4 mile times have all been within 1-2/10ths.
I like it and think it works pretty good.

Thanks for the answers guys. Im definately gonna pick one up. I like the fact that I can see how the truck responds to mods without going to our local weak a$$ drag strip.:D
