I just recently replaced all the bearings, brake pads, rotors, and seals in front axle. Also the ball joints and u-joints. There is a grinding noise while turning and driving slow. I think it is coming from the driver side. Whenever I put it in fourwheel drive it clears up. I believe it is from the hubs.

You should probably re visit the drivers side and make sure nothing went haywire in there.

Even if the hub is locking when it shouldn't there should be no grinding noises

Do you think it might do it because I have not got it aligned yet. I also put new tierods and tires on. The tires have not been balanced yet either.

Alignment will just drive funny and scrub your tires, tie rod will bounce/wobble in corners. tire out of balance will shake vibrate at diff speeds

Seems like something in the wheel bearings or brake mounting? Possibly the axleshaft inside the hub but I doubt it
Put front tires in the air and checkout your work before you tear into it. Check the function of hubs, look for looseness/alignment in all the things you just replaced Is U joint in line with ball joints, ball joints seated properly, no metal on metal contact anywhere. Tire should spin freely but not like a skateboard wheel it should come to a stop within 1-1.5 rotations. Wheel bearings should have no play in them tire in and out, check spindle nuts and hub hardware, caliper mounts and slide pins. Make sure to check driveshaft U joints and connections, sway bar bushings, links, etc....I do this junk alot on front ends
Many years of wrenching has taught me to go back to where I was just working, even when it doesn't appear to make sense...new noises problems usually has something to do with the work just performed one way or another.

Ok. Where would the shaft be making the grinding noose at? Also i forgot to mention that the driver side brakes went on a little funny and the first time I drove it down the road the drivers side started to smoke a little. I did not think much of it. I thought there was a little bit of oil on the rodor the was burning off from priming the brakes.

NO!!!!!!!!! suspect brake first then
Rotor should be clean when you seated caliper both sides....no skipping steps!
Caliper maybe have issue I would start there checkout caliper, slide pins, hardware and pads...

I did clean them and they looked good. I'm going to guess it is the caliper. On the passenger side I had to replace the caliper.

Could I take the caliper off and drive easy without using the brakes and test it that way
