You may want to check your FICM voltage. There's a few threads on here with the procedure. Could also be a fuel quality issue. Did you recently fill up your tank?
Grey smoke at idle
2004 F 250 been running fine till the other day started smoking out the exhaust grey them if you stand on it goes to black . Boost is around 30psi . also smells like diesel out at the pipe .intermintent miss as well.

Thanks for the reply . I will check the voltage , and yes my son took it on a road trip . Would a bad logic board in the ficm cause this as well.
