This guy had the best reply-
I think my truck has a very smooth running engine, and the diesel fuel on everything is a good rust-proofer, and besides, I LIKE the smell of diesel!
Okay but this one has to take the cake-
IMO, a supercharger is nothing compared to a turbo charger. A supercharger always spins right? A turbo charger only spins when needed right?

Wonder if a supercharger could hold up as long as even a stock Garrett turbo on a 7.3PSD? Remember it will spin mile for mile as far as the vehicle moves it's moving.

Man you want to talk about a lot of unknowing people that think that they know everything. I think the only post with any knowledge behind it was Gregrob's.

How scary is that.

Maybe we should send Andrew over there to straighten them out.

He could be the official Nation to RV.net laison.:aiwebs_001:

I don't think you helped at all. I think you'd be better off proving the Big Bang theory than proving how a little spinny thing functions on a pickup.

That is some of the funniest crap I have read... Fluid driving a turbo!!!:hehe::hehe::hehe::hehe:

I just might have to register over there for the hell of it and straighten them out if no one else does.

Just tell them your truck is red & we're in October. Then you can say you drive the Red October which was a sub that was more or less a fluid driven turbine. WOW, I never felt this smart before & no one can prove me wrong! :flipa:

Where do I go to get my altitude compensating , fluid driven turbo conversion? BTW, where does the fluid come from? Will I have to run a line from the muffler bearings back to the oil pan to return the fluids ?
Also, I'd like to get one of those aoutmatic wastegate compenstors. (*you know the automatic kind). Actually , we have some computer comtrolled wastegaes at work, that will make the boost pressure whatever the computer calls for. From 8" HG to 26 " HG. (not measured in psi because of the low numbers.) Did they actaully think a gasser will stand the kind of pressure on the rods, and everything elses it takes to make 800+ foot pounds of tq? To beef it up to that point it would be so heavy that all fuel mileage will dissapear. Plus, like someone else said, running that kind of boost, it would have to have high octane gas all the time. Unless of course the automatic altitude compensatoin controller is hooked up to the chromatograph ending up at the y-32 flux capacitor.
