I am the process of performing the tightwad mod/fuel bowl delete. Can someone please recommend me a good filter to use in place of the fuel bowl?

I might be doing Efuel at some point but not at this time.

If you’re doing E-fuel anyway it would be more cost effective to do it all together. If I was doing it for the first time again I would definitely source each part and complete it (lay it out) on a table how it would be on the truck. A weekend is enough time to complete it and warrants enough time to fix any mistakes. As for the actual filters I would think a 30 micron pre pump and 2-5 micron post pump is what I have. I got the kit from bar none couple years ago

I used a CAT 1R-0749 post pump and a 256-8753 separator pre pump

Don’t remember what part numbers are for the bases but here’s what I did.
And yes hose routing has been fixed.
Can’t tell in the photo but it is a 5/8 feed to pre filter and water separator, two 3/8 pump suction hoses to the post filter with 5/8 feed to the y block in the valley.

my tightwad mod uses a napa filter and mount Ill find the numbers for you, worked out really really well for me. I am still a mechanical fuel pump, although E fuel would be nice I have not needed it yet
