I gutted the lil pipe in the fuel bowl of its parts that wont let you run the truck without a filter but what I wanna know is if it's safe to remove the heater or not and if it's needed or not?

Are there any advantages or disadvantages to keeping or removing the heater in the fuel bowl?

Mine has been gone 5+ years on 2 different trucks. One time I gelled when it was about -30 but i dont think I had the best fuel in at the time either. No need for it really.
