One of the front wheel bearing hubs on my 05' F250 is starting to make some noise. I checked all of the local autoparts stores, and the only "non-house" brand bearing I could find was a Moog.....for about $450. The Masterpro, Ultrapro, and all the other cheap china brands were around $200. I figured there is a reason for that.

So I picked up the Moog for $450.

Then I started looking on amazon after I got home....I can order a Timken brand bearing hub for around $265 and get it in a couple of days.

Should I keep the Moog, or return it and save almost $200 and just order the Timken off of Amazon? Are the Timkens on Amazon American made, or are they just rebranded China parts?

Any info would be great. Thanks

I'd get the timken at half the price. I've used timken a bunch, they are awesome bearings. Some of the best.

Im not sure who makes timken, but they're top of the line.

The other day I was talking to a locomotive engineer while they were stopped for track work . The bearings on the drive wheels were marked Timken (Dash 9 GE) . I think you made a good choice
