Just had to pull off front drive shaft on my 2002 250 with 100,000mi on because when putting on a Sky Man leveling kit I could not move slip yoke. Ended up putting in vise and had to persuade it with quite a few hits from a sledge. Got it separated and grease but still cannot slide on full length by hand. Gets very tight 4" from fully inserted.
Just wondering if anybody else had this problem?

If you can, try to degrease the inside of the outer yoke. Get all the caked old grease and muck out. Get it as clean as you can, then check it out. For final assembly I'd vote on a high pressure Moly-fortified grease.

Once you have it all together make sure you don't have any play in it. With an end held, try to flex the other up and down. See if it has some play in the slip splines.

If it does, it might be time for a new slip-yoke. A little play is ok, but really... Just a little lol. Especially if you are lifting and will have less spline surface area engaged.
