hey bud, i wasnt hackin on ya, just sounded funny, so i posted up. it really is a good way to haul one atv, and i HAVE been thinkin about the same thing. my toolbox makes it tough to throw one in the truck bed, and i just havent engineered a rack sturdy enough for my grizz yet. good job, seriously! bet you get a little satisfaction chub everytime you go through a toll booth with that thing though! :hehe:

I am think about buying an Ex and need to know what the hitch can take? Does any one know if it can be upgraded to a Heavier Duty hitch?

My Hitch Trailer guy says no one makes one for it.

My Toy Hauler has a 1,350 tongue wieght, so I am concerned?

Thank you!

It can be done, but it's a major PITA because the existing X hitch is integral to the frame. Two of the mounting bolts will need to be cut because there's a funky backing fastener on them. You'll also need to drop the fuel tank.

Use a load leveler hitch. My toy hauler is big and has a tongue weight of alot and it is fine with the weight distribution. The factory hitch is rated at 12.5k with a 1250 tongue.
