Well, here's the latest pics of the Fordota: http://s11.photobucket.com/albums/a186/imelmo/Fordota%20interior/
That's about as far as they can go with the interior before the frame/cage gets powdercoated. So next is mounting the radiator, oil cooler, trans cooler, fuel pump, etc... in the back and basically finish up any welding that needs to be done to it before powdercoating. Once it's powdercoated and the interior of the cab is painted, the sheet metal will get finished up and the bed and fenders and such will be mounted.
Got the Crower rods in (thanx Matt
) so just need to order the girdle and pistons and I can bring the motor to DI (hopefully at the DHRA in October). The motor that's currently in my truck is going in the Fordota. The one DI is building will go in my truck. It won't have as much of the machine work as the motor the Fordota's getting.
Tim Miller is doing the wiring harness for it. Hopefully I'll have it sometime next month so I can test the motor before installing it.
Gotta send my hpop for the Fordota to Terminator Engineering too.
Still got some sticker space on the truck too if anybody's interested!
As of right now I still need gauges (boost, egt, trans, fuel pressure, hpop pressure, voltemeter, water, temp, and oil temp), fuel pump/system, water injection system, built trans, and that's all I can really think of right now. I'm sure I'll think/find a lot more as it gets closer.
Should be gettin' a decent shot in the checkbook in December, so I'm figuring it should be running by sometime in January/February.
