Recently I have not heard my fan clutch engage. Air temps have been up in the 90's a few days and I tow a 6,000 lbs work trailer. Anyone know at what temps (ECT) it should engage? Would it throw a code if there is a problem with it? I just want to make sure there is is not a problem with it before the air temps soar past 100.
I have a scanguage II installed.

Thanks

it would throw a code if the PCM doesn't see the fan RPM's matching what it anticipated it should be according to the signal it sent to the clutch

( rpm sensor inside the clutch

this is also not an on off clutch it is percentage commanded so you may not hear it even when it's working fine
