My truck has recently started having the factory oil gauge drop to 0 oil pressure while idling. It doesn't do it every time, but from time to time while sitting at stop lights or warming up the engine the "check gauges" light will come on and the oil pressure will be reading 0. The engine isn't making any unusual noises or anything. Curious if anyone has had the same or similar issues, and if so what was the problem. I'd like to get it fixed more so that it annoys me than anything, being that I don't think the engine is actually losing oil pressure.

remove the sensor and hook up a mechanical gauge if you have access to one, just to make sure if really isnt losing oil pressure. replace sensor if all is well

The factory gauge on these trucks is a dummy gauge. The stupid thing will read normal if it is anything above 8 psi or something around there.
I dont even think the engine would run without low pressure oil, due to the HEUI system.
The sender for the gauge would be my thought.
