I have a 2002 F250 with 7.3. while in 4 wheel drive, I have a popping noise (sounds like the front left wheel). It only happens while in 4 wheel drive and I am accelerating. I have changed all ball joints on both sides. I have replaced all wheel bearings. I have replaced both locking hubs. I have pulled both axles and no issues with splines. The gears all look good as well. Still have the popping noise while in 4 wheel drive. Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks for your help.

is this on dry road or snow mud?
noises on dry roads are common when i 4x4.
the front diff is geared slightly lower than rear diff, and will cause noise when trying to drive on dry roads.
that is why the warning not to use 4X4 on dry surfaces.

It's on gravel roads. It's harder to hear in mud as there is not as much pressure. I have had f250's for 20 years and have never had this issue before. Its almost like a gear is skipping over teeth or something. It's very odd.
Thanks for your time.
