Any of you have the Ford factory external tranny filter? I see it listed in manual about changing the fluid and filter every 30,000 miles. Just curious as to how hard it is to switch over to that system so that I can use my BG tranny flush machine.

Has anyone gone through the process of just replacing the ext filter after getting the flush only work? How difficult was it and how much fluid did you lose?

Thanks

I looked on my truck for the little external filter by the cooler that older super dutys have but couldn't find one. I flushed mine at 30,000 miles but I plan on dropping the pan and replacing the internal at 60,000 per the manual anyway now. Also looking into a larger pan at that time.
