Hey guys wanted to hear from some of you who are running these exhaust brakes and see how you like them, and how big of an impact they made? Also, if it were bad on the 6.0's. Anything helps thanks.

I agree with Heavy and Turd. The stock Tow/haul feature works so good that I've never had any desire to have an exhaust brake. I haul everything from a loaded down camper to backhoes with no complaints.

Agree with everyone on here my tow haul works so well that I don't even use it with my boat because its too small and doesn't weigh enough to need it. used it once on my way to havasu and it was down shifting and engine breaking when I didn't even need it with that small and light of a load.

True ehaust brakes have always worried me. I am afraid of an exhaust valve maybe being opened (due to pressure buld up) and hitting a piston. If I recall installed seat pressure on our valves is only 80 or 90 lbs. This might not even be a possibility, but has been a concern of mine.

Using the Tow/Haul function should give you plenty of good engine braking for that size load. Let us know your experience.

Thanks for the info guys. Just seeing the point of view on them and if it was even worth it. But as far towing Turd 250, that's the load ill be towing around.
cool! in that case i'll def ask him then & see what more he's got to say.
