Recently went through the brakes on my 99 f350 , are the E brakes still good if brake shoes are still covered , that is the E pads I'm talking about ? Never ben removed and at 180,000 miles ongoing on 24 years ? Never gave it much though in advance, looked ok when I was there , just kept going ? Gov Holmes
You may need to adjust them to work properly, but no need to change them as long as the friction material is still there. As far as I can tell, mine are original at 247,000 miles and 23 years old. Work fine after a few clicks on the adjusters.
