I recently purchased a PHP Hydra and wanted something to monitor, I went with the CTS3 instead of gauges due to the many other options you can do in one device......but, it has been nothing but problems, from updating issues, to not recognizing my truck and have to re enter my VIN# to not shutting off. I seen another person say that Tech Support told them it was because of the PHP Hydra changing the VIN# and the CTS3 not being able to read what vehicle it is in....has anyone else had issues like this and what was tour solution? I thought this was going to be a good monitor but now I am having second thoughts.

Everything I unplug it I have to do the VIN# all over again, also does it not shut off when you turn the truck off? Mine has been staying on. Between the not finding the PIDS, update issues, powering off issues, I'm not really a fan. Was excited to get it now I'm just like blah.
I have not tried that. I usually just keep it in the 65 daily that I drive in, it is off and in the stock setting now so I will see.....
Also what's going on now is its not shutting off so it's draining my battery......

Updating and trying the stock position on your hydra are good ideas. If you haven’t called their customer support, I’d do that. I had an issue that was resolved with a replacement unit. They are very helpful.
So far it seems putting my hydra back in the stock position before shutting truck off has done the trick, my truck has set for 2 days now un started, we will see if it drained battery or not
