its ~30*F here. my ect was 152 today and my eot about 180. is that big of a difference normal for cold weather?

Looks like the motor wasn't even warmed up yet. Need to drive about 20 miles at highway speeds and get it up to operating temps before even looking at temp spread. But, and this is a big but, odds are your T-stat isn't working at all. My ECT will always get hotter than my EOT until they cross paths at around 190*

this was after driving for a while. 15-20 minutes one way, idle for 10-15, and 15 back.

Wait. Did you mean negative 30*f? Or 30*f? If minus 30*f, might need a winter cover at those temps.

30*F you need a t-stat.
positive 30*F.

thanks. ill get on that. stock replacement temp? or different temp?
