03 f250 xlt 125000. New heads, studs, egr delete, new oil cooler, colant filter, fleetguard final charge no silicates, new radiator, new thermostat (napa brand).

Replaced my oil cooler about 2000 miles ago due to it failing, flushed the system with restore and plus. Changed the thermostat at the same time. Broke the nipple off on the radiator, so I replaced that, about 100 miles ago. Now my water temp gauge drops while foots off the pedal, and my heat goes from HOT to warm. Coolant level is normal, no puking. Top raditor hose doesnt seem to be very hard.

Any ideas?

Sounds like the tstat is not holding up it's end of the deal. Am I correctly understanding that you broke the hose inlet off the radiator? If so how the heck did that go down?

The nipple from the radiator to degas bottle... lets just say it was cold that day, and I'm not happy I had to try and track down that coolant again. Live and learn
