where is the switch in the door? the drivers side switch decides randomly when to open and close or im wondering if it is in the latch if it is gummed up with grease. or do i have a gem dieing?

Its at the lower side of the latch.

The switch is built into the latch mechanism. Give the latch a shot or two of WD-40 and it should clear your problem up.

well got it fixed, it ended up being the back drivers side door, shot a bunch of wd40 in there and it went to working again.
Mechanic in a can fixxer upper !! LOL

Only two tools will fix a lot of things.

WD40 for things that are supposed to move and won't.
Duct tape for things that aren't supposed to move and do.

my 97 did that too.. it gets gummed up badd. i took the door panel off and greased every latch possible.. your best insurance is preventative maintence
