Need some help. I made some up pipes and pedistal for my HX50 on my spare 97 engine and went to bolt it to my truck and it didn't fit Looked into it and found the spare engine is out of a van. By looking at it, the only differance is the left side, the right sides look the same? does this sound right. I want to pull the manifold off the truck and bolt it to the spare engine and then redo the pipes again. I don't want to pull the engine out of the truck just to make up pipes! :fordoval:

Can you compare the casting/part numbers on the manifolds so you know 100% that only that one side is different?

Shaw, what year is your engine? The 94-95 do have a different exhaust manifold on the driverside. Just swap manifolds with the 97 engine?

Both engines are out of a 97, spare engine is out of a van. I didn't think of something as simple as looking at the casting numbers. I guess when you spend two days makeing up pipes that dont fit you don't think right! I will check today and let you all know! Thanks

I agree, I don't think the engine is different, just the van manifold.

Toss it and put a truck manifold on it.
