I did a 1979 ford box. if you have a mill you can port direct to the spool valve area.
I dunno how much of a difference it makes but the outlet from the spool to the internal ram in the box is only about 5/32", so doing it direct to the spool you can add a second set of 5/32" feeds to the supplemental ram rather then having both run off the same tiny passage.
it is pretty tight drilling to intercept the spool at the correct spot.
other wise find a spot on the passage to each chamber and drill and tap it for your fittings
