Have any of you done a DIY regulated return. I know, you ask why, Dennis makes the best one out there. I say because I have to. I am the DIY guy. It is in my blood. Now this is my question.

What I want to know is how did you make the connection to the return line? I can't find a vibra-lock adapter. How much pressure is there on the return line? If I just push the hose over the line and clamp it will it hold?

Thanks and Keep Strokin'

I DIY'ed the return on my DI reg system, so i guess you could call it that. I deleted the fuel bowl at the same time, so i had no easy way to tap into the return. I just extended the hose coming off the bottom of the regulator, and tied into the hard line on the frame like this, it's working fine. There is no pressure on the return line other than the small restriction from the small pipe leading back to the tank. Good amount of flow, little pressure. Hose clamps work fine.

What size hose did you use for your return?

The return line is 3/8"? In the tank the return line it is 5/16". does it change up stream? Only reason I question you is I dropped the tank last night to look thing over and tried to hook the feed line to the return line. I was loose and did not feel right so I obviously had it hooked up wrong.

Thanks for the info guys,

my bad, you are right. i used 3/8" comp to NPT for the feed, i believe it's 5/16" comp to NPT for the return. take the pressure regulator on the stock fuel bowl off, take it to home depot and have them look at it. i am 90% sure it's 5/16" but that's what i did and i tried the fittings there before i bought.
have you built the whole system yet?

I have all the parts except for how to tie into the return line, which I do now and for that I thank everyone who posted.

I am going to see how the stock pump does before I buy a pump. #6 line feeding the heads, #4 return line. Fed from the front.
