Im needing opinions on if 20x12 wheels on a dirt road is a good idea.im liveing about 8 miles up a dirt road. Would 20x12s beat up my paint and could there be any way to protect my paint or should i just get wheels with less offset.

I live a mile off a dirt road and run them...once I hit the pavement I hear gravel hitting my truck for a quarter mile from the treads but I get the same thing although not quite as bad from my 350 with 305s on stock rims. Unfortunately I got chrome and that wide lip is a pain to keep polished I would go black next time .

While driving on the dirt road though I don't hear much hitting the body on either it's just the gravel that gets stuck in the treads. But my dirt road has a lot of gravel I've been down a lot of dirt roads that it doesn't do anything but get it really dirty.
