O.K. I just joined this forum and was reading a post about how Bully Dog is a bad word on the forum. I was wondering why and if I made a mistake of having the Triple Dog Combo installed on my truck('04 F-250 w/4" Exhaust, K/N intake)? Any help/comments would be appreciated.

its just SCT is a preferred choice by most on here. if ur not wanting maximum power then the bully dog is fine with ur setup.

I know for a fact that the SCT, 4" exhaust and K-N air intake will wake up a 6.0. We have a guy that comes around the shop, just built another SD with 6.o and everyt one he does the same mods. You put the tunner on the Performance tune and watch out. Damn thing is stupid fast.

Sct is the way to go. I have mine in the for sale section. Trading trucks or would definetly keep it.

I sold my old Triple Dog for the SCT. There is such a big different it is like night and day. With the TD, there is almost always a lag between the pedal and actually getting the fuel and going, but with the SCT pickup is almost instant, no lag.

Plus I like having the ability to have my tranny custom tuned to what is best for the setup that I have, not just how a box wants it to run.

Like said before, unless you want to get maximum horsepower out of your truck or plan on having future heavy modding, the Bully Dog Triple Dog is plenty enough to have fun with.

Sell the bully chit stuff and get an SCT with tunes from John Wood. He has some of the badest, yet safest tunes around for the 6.0. His tunes are also ran in the world quickest 6.0 as well.

i would have to agree i got a bully dog and hate it it also messes with shift point as in up shifting and down shifting when it wants deff sell and get sct

I had the same experience with a Bully Dog a couple of years ago. Sent it back for a refund. Been with DP Tuner ever since. Jody's tunes are fast and safe as well their customer service is unparalleled in my experience. If you need examples I have em.

However for the right person Bully Dog may work out just fine. I do not know. Didn't for me.

SCT with DP Tunes.
I got to ride in a 6.0L with those & a set of injectors & it was just stupid fast. It would pin you back on the seat everytime you got into it.

What do you guys think of the PPE tuner? They have 10 different setting from 20 to 200 hp and in every tune you can choose tranny stiffness...

I have the convienience of tryin pretty much everything cuz my buddy has a diesel performance shop, and the ppe isnt all its cracked up to be, it pulls pretty hard on the top end but mid to low its not much, ppe is great for dmaxs tho, i have tried the edge juice platinum with the hot tune, the diablosport predator, and superchips, we have tried a lot of combos and stacks and the best weve found so far is a custom tuned SCT, mine is custom tuned by Tadd at Elite Diesel.

I tried telling my dad to get the SCT for his 6.0 but he never listens to me and he bought some superchips thing. Yet to see how it runs with it. Hopefully like hell so he feels dumb for not listening.

Question kind of off topic? Does Superchips own SCT or what guy at the speed shop here in town told my dad they did
