Never Heard of them. I did look them up also. If your considering this TC from DiamondT, the most important advice I can give you here is to first look at what it is that you intend to do with your truck, Tow, Daily driver, Performance, or Race builds. TCS, Precision companies like this also offer TC for different levels and builds etc, that won't cost you break the bank. They're still gonna run yah more than the Diamond T, but these companies have been putting out TC that are tried and true units. Do your research here. Call TCS ask for Rusty/Owner Op or Precision and so on. Brian at BTS and John wood are considered the gurus on the (4R100)Tranny that is in out trucks. These guys will get on the phone with you and advise you as to what you need for your intended use. About 12 yrs ago I did a budget Tranny build with an upgraded TC. This budget tranny Behind a set of 238/80 and a 38R didn't last me but about 4 months. It was an expensive lesson. There's quite a few of us here thru the years that have had similar experiences in our search for better, stronger, faster and so on..

As long as your tranny is in good condition, I would look into maybe doing the DiamondT TC and a tugger trans kit along with some tunes from Matt at gearheadAutomotive, should make for a good tow rig. It's got a 3yr warranty behind it too.

I actually am doing a tugger kit at the same time. Trans seams like its in great shape. Fluid isn't burnt and has been changed several times. Only has 110k shifts great. I'm running php right now and I love with with stock sticks. I wanna keep the tunes a clean as possible. I typed in reviews on google and a lot of cummins guys are running one and they are in love with this tc.

Sounds very good, and yeah you can't wrong with PHP tunes either, Bill is one of the best. Good luck with the Tranny build too.

I'm thinking I need to go with the triple disc from them to be on the safe side. The single is only 350 hp and 700 torque. Kind of worries me since I'll be around that ball park. Also have the choice of low stall or non. Can't low stall snap shafts?

Yeah triple disc is what I would suggest you go with. At your power level you won't have to worry about snapping shafts. The Stock shafts are actually pretty durable and seem to handle power in around 500hp/8-900 ft lbs of torque pretty well..
