Is the Low Emission formula of Delo 15w-40 alright to use in a 1st Gen 7.3 ('95-'97) ?

Went to Sam's and the Delo was way cheaper than Rotella.

BTW: is Triple Protection Rotella that same low emission stuff as Delo?

I just did an oil change with the Delo 400 15w40. This is the first time using that oil, and it seems to fine in my engine. I had been using Rotella 15w40 forever, but decided to try something different to see if there were any positive gains. So far it seems fine.

Historically Delo 400 15W-40 has shown very good to excellent UOA results for the 7.3L. I use Schaeffer's but if I didn't I would use Delo 400. Delo 400 uses highly refined base oils with a stout additive package that rival some higher cost synthetics. Doesn't use as much Molybdenum as Schaeffer's 15W-40 but overall the additive package is very effective. On most 7.3L Delo UOA reports Delo is good for ay least 5,000 miles (depending on the application).
