I was browsing through the photo section and saw a HPOP gauge in CSIPSD's pics. Is that an electric gauge that uses a pressure sender or does it run a high pressure line to the gauge?

This one:

Joe, Anyone?

Thanks!

I really doubt any one would want 2500 and up PSI in the cab.
That's why I asked! :) I know the mechanical fuel pressure gauges are intended to be mounted outside the vehicle.

So Bigrpowr,
Is the Di procal also specifically labeled HPOP like the Isspro or is it a genereic pressure gauge?

Tks!

Tim, that gauge is part of a very cool new line Isspro is working on. It uses all factory style water proof connectors that go to a single brain box under the hood. The each gauge runs on just three wires daisy chain style.

Nothing against the Di gauges, but the Isspro you see in the picture is a Alpha unit, the production ones will look similar to the EV line they have now. The new powermax line is very nice! I have 16 gauges in the cab and 3...3 wires that run thru the fire wall to control all of them.

My DiProcol gauge is great! Matches the dash and has been working fine so far!

It is another one of those preference things. The DiProcols looks nice and I am sure they work fine.
I chose the Isspro because the Enhanced Visibility series has a very simple and easy to read face. I now have the Isspros mounted with a Dakota Digital fuel pressure gauge and they look nice together.

Here they are:

Tom, the daisy-chain idea is convenient... almost makes you think a former Apple Computer employee is working at Isspro! Nonetheless, I believe I am done - three gauges are enough for my needs!

You have red pointers in your dash?:poke:

I won't sling mud too far since the protos in my truck right now have red pointers, but we will have them available in all the standard styles (including white pointer and green backlighting for a perfect OBS match). I made sure the damn font even matches my factory dash...

Michael, what is the status on these? That empty overhead pod looks so lonely up there. Second are you comming to Houston?

I'm having them start on the initial design for the quad pod in the next week or so. If anyone is interested, please PM or e-mail me (I need to show some numbers to justify the tooling expense). We are going to build an initial unit using our rapid prototype (RP) machine. It will have some seams (only visible from the inside) and the surface texture won't be the same as factory pillars, but it will otherwise be functional. After I see how much time it takes, we'll have an idea if we can reasonably make some RP units for resale in low quantities. Otherwise it will be a matter of having enough interest to justify injection mold tooling.

The HPOP gauges will be available initially as part of the networked system (using an underhood controller to tie to all of your gauges). We have decided to push back production another few weeks, waiting to get better looking parts from some of our suppliers. We should be shipping production parts in about 4 weeks.

As far as Houston, it looks pretty grim given the amount of work we still need to do for our SEMA show booth. And TS Performance won't be bringing out their Jeep Liberty this time (they're only hauling two of their race trucks due to the distance). I'll bet it'll be a heck of a good time, wish I could be there! I would love to run in the brackets again, as I think I've finally reminded myself of all the ways to lose. After too many dumb losses, I managed to win the last 2 NHRDA races of the season, so I'm on a roll!

Thanks,
