2000 F250 XLT CC 2WD AUTO 92K

Cruise quit working, all fuses are good, speedo works, everything else works for that matter. No airbag lights, pulled airbag since I installed a new wheel 6 months back (expedition wheel) and all the connections are good.

Is the brake light, and/or third brake light out an OBS only issue? If it does include super duties is it possible that my homemade LED tail lights in combination with my recon LED 3rd brake light are the problem since there is no load (as far as the pcm is concerned) now.

My normal drive to work has been 3 miles each way and is now 12 miles. You have as much clue as I do how long it's been since I even tried to use cruise control. So all of the above are a possibility.

Great timing, I got in my truck the other day to drive to Palmdale, about 120 miles, and the cruise was not working. All fuses look good. I remember a while back the cruise was shutting off while driving. As in I would be driving along at say 70mph with cruise on then suddenly it would just shut off.

Can anyone help us, driving 200 miles without cruise SUCKS.

Yeah, just like the 4 or 5 mirror posts a few weeks ago! I haven't had much luck with mine, I've tried everything everyone's suggested to. I don't have it either. And try driving 600 miles without cruise working, it wouldn't be as bad if I didn't have it at all but the buttons are right there and don't work!!:doh:

Mine quit but it was a bad fuse. Did you check the fuse box under the hood for grins?

Yep only thing I can suggest cause this is what happens to mine when It don't work.

Try driving 3200miles oregon to nebraska then back to oregon without cruise:doh:. I actually drove with my left foot for about a 100 miles to give my right foot a break, and no it still doesn;t work

It's not so bad, I was kinda bein sarcastic. It doesn't bother me so much just somethin I'd like to work, I'm not camplaining at all either cause its the only thing wrong with my truck. Just a luxury I want to fix in my spare time, and wasn't sure where to start so I asked you guys

hey trailer hauler, just out of curiosity, did you check the clutch position switch on the clutch pedal? the plastic crap its made out of dont stand up very well, ive replaced mine a couple times, and everytime my cruise quits workin thats the culprit.

uhh about eighty bucks at the ford house, annnd 26 from autozone. Normally i can just take mine apart and put it back together. once you get it back together wrap some ducttape around it, ittl keep it together. (trust me if you look at it youll understand why it falls apart)

yea its really pretty easy. I suggest if replacing the master cylinder just buy the pre-bled kit. its much easier. ([email protected] powerstrokeshop or autozone)

Get ahold of the Chiltons repair manual it's in section 8-7. No picture but a 5 step procedure.

I stumped on this cruise stuff I know there has to be a recall there is just to many of them going out

The recall was only for the gassers. Diesels run the Cruise off of the PCM & don't have this issue.
