In some ways though the Chevy might be better because they have a big backseat since your trying to install it into a crew cab. Also being gm means that it will be comfortable. Just tell people you got it as a trophy!

Now that is one laid back dog! So are you putting this seat in a Supercab or a Crew Cab? That makes a big diffrence. I know the supercab Superduty's have a good rear seat that has 2/3s fold up. Might try one of them. Looks perfect for what your trying to do.

Once he's in. He's sitting in a super cab in the photo. Jumps right on a running board and in..Shrug:confused:. The crew nerf steps--no go. He's 80 or 90lbs. Doesn't like to be picked up or I'd do that. Like trying to hold a big fish that's thrashing :D.

It's a 96 crew cab. He can't fit between the rear door and seat. So I'm looking for 1 to lift up the bottom. He will jump in the front floor board and climb into the back.
Thats not working out to good. Sometimes he won't go to the back:doh:

Hey Bill,
Why not just get a smaller dog? Sorry, seriously maybe an excursion or suburban seat? I love that picture! My dogs not liking the 4in lift and big tires, she took the tailgate to the chest first leap in after the liftkit, fell down and wouldnt look at me she was pretty embarassed!:pointlaugh:

He's better than any anti-theft system. :D

I fiqured out a solution for him. Turned out to be a solution for 2. It has a handle and can be carried on board. He just didn't understand the concept of bars as a step. I'm keeping the Centurion seat after all. :D

Glad it all worked out for you Bill. I have to get a small stool for my Grandma just to help her get into my truck.

I have hand grabs inside above the doors. Maybe that would help her also.

Tried a car ramp. He needed 2 steps.

Everytime I'd lift him, he'd do a spread eagle with his feet and wouldn't fit the door opening. The dog dr. said it's due to his weight. His body weight makes lifting him under his ribcage uncomfortable. Sounds logical.

The tailgate load takes lawn mower / atv ramps. A fishing pole, and a hot dog as bait and he got the idea. Dog mower ramps  :D.
