I lost one at 45K, truck was 4 years old, hauled to dealer on flatbed and fixed for $100. Won a $500 gift certificate to powerstrokeshop.com 3 or so years ago and bought a spare for me and the old man's 02, he replaced his first earlier this year. It is overprescribed though isn't it.

My 96 still had the original in it with 118,000 miles. I put one of the new cheap CPS's in it just to see if it would work on an OBS and because I always thought it had weird vibration at idle. Runs just fine and the very slight vibration is unchanged.

The original is in the glove box though just incase.

I have replaced the CPS. 1 friend has done it twice, other has done it once. Out of 9 other psds in the family, 1 CPS in my uncles 97

All my trucks got a new one from the git go and a spare in the glove box.

That motors coming out as we speak, going back with 529 inches and an Edelbrock fogger set up by Steve Johnson. Should make an easy 850 on the motor, spray 200 or on top to get me deep in the 8's on a set of 10.5 tires.
