I have a question folks! I had an issue with my 2001 SD with oil in the water.
Had the cooler resealed and new coolant added. I bought two gallons of
Motocraft Anti. and the parts guy said to add two of the Motocraft "Diesel Cooling System Additive" bottles. Well my questin is: anyone know the correct
ratio? I have read every thing I can find;Chiltons, Ford manual, and OF COARSE the experts here in the Flush artical. Seems most people use an other brand than Ford stuff, If so what do you recomend? And Thanks for having a very cool board.

I wish, however with all of the other old faces from there, you never know. He has a good reputation (very deserved) over there. Hell, if Gooch told me that piss in my radiator was good, I would by a twelve pack and a stool.

The Ford stuff is Fleetguard DCA-4. The minimum recommended concentration is 1.2 units per gallon. The maximum is 3.0 units per gallon. 3.2 ounces is one unit.

I use Fleetrite from International. I get the stuff that is precharged.

International is the secret. If you go to them have the serial number of you motor, they will tell you exactly what you need to make it right with the world. They built the motor after all.
