Can a blown head gasket cause a coolant leak at seam on outside of motor? I've got a small leak that will just barely drip off front axle. I got to looking real close and it is all wet around the front freeze plug on the driver's side where the exhaust manifold starts. I know thats right behind EGR cooler as well. It is right there around those seems and not really anywhere else.

Here is a phone pic that isn't great but you can the dark spot right around the freeze plug at the top left.

Thoughts???

Thanks!

I dont think that it is a head gasket or a freeze plug, head gaskets dont normally leak outside, If u can put a pressure tester on it Ill bet the egr cooler is whats leaking. I hope this helps u out.

Thanks - after looking closer it appears to be the upper radiator hose and just running down over everything. I ordered a new hose and will replace when it comes in.
