What would cause coolant level to drop after hard run and rise after shutoff back to normal in the degass bottle? Their has been no loss of coolant over time. I am running Amsoil ELC.

After a hard run coolant picks up a bunch of heat, pressure increases, radiator/ heater hoses swell up a bit trying to hold back the pressure, coolant level in degass bottle drops.

Idle down for a while, temps drop, pressure drops, level is normal again.

To see this for yourself slowly crack the cap after a hard run and watch the level come back up as you relieve the pressure.

Thanks Dave! I was alittle worried.I did in fact notice the coolant come back up to my mark after cracking the cap.
