the other day i put a quart and a half of fresh delo oil in my fuel tank and proceeded to fill up. holy hell, it made my start ups faster in the cold as well as making the engine quieter. no extra smoke. i have heard of guys running filtered used oil, but i am not interested in that. the truck runs great right now. is this something that is ok to do to the fuel?

ive done both in the past.. especially when diesel was like 4 something a gallon... i noticed my truck ran much smoother and quiter but cant be good on your fuel system or injectors, i dont do it anymore.. they just put a biodiesel pump in here where i live and im running the piss out of it runs quiter and smoother...

Put a quart of TCW3 ashless 2 stroke oil per tank full (Walmart Supertech 2 stroke oil is inexpensive at $11 a gallon). 2 stroke oil mixes easily and brings back the lubrication qualities that are long gone w/ ULSD fuel. Engine will run quieter...and it's much cheaper than adding new Delo oil to your tanks!
