Hi guys i am in the process of getting rid of my 08 Ex.cab long bed 6.4 , and am looking at getting back into a 7.3 . this time i think i want to get a CCSB . Before the 08 I had a 01 Excab short bed with DP tunes intake and 4" exhaust and was very happy with it but i was lulled into the 6.4 by claimes of nearly 600 hp and 18 mpg. , It's a great truck but the mileage sucks . the best i could get out of it was 15.5 in the summer and now with winter blend it's more like 14 all like driving like grampa jones (No fun !!) . The 7.3 usually did 17+ in the summer and never below 15 in the winter . I realize the CCSB will weigh a little more than the Xcab sb that i had but would lke to hear what kind of milege you guys are gettin . my plans will be 285/75/16 hankook tires and mods will be tunes , turbo and mabey a set of 238's and a RR return . BTW the 08 has a DPF delete and am running KEM tunes on my Mini Maxx .

No tunes (yet) and I'm usually around 14.5 mpg, mostly city driving.

All stock and I'm running the 285s and get about 17mpg consistently. It dropped about 1 mpg when I switched from the 265s.

my 00 xcab is getting around 19 mpg. little bit lighter but not much. I run 35's now and that sky rocketed my mpg up.

01 CCSB I get 16-17 mixed in the summer, and have been getting 14-15 running winter blend.
That's all stock except muffler delete, AMSOIL air filter, and 285/75/R16 Hankook Dynapro ATM's.
