Nice beginnings of a meltdown.
Did you get those replacements installed?
If so what are the results?

Steve, all done.Somewhat better but not to my likings.Im going to double check everything tomorrow.Turbo does sound better but I found oil in the passenger side CAC tube with the CCV mod done for about 8 months and cleaned the CAC out when i did the CCV, so now im wondering if i have a bad seal.

Cota, My gauge was pegged for a 1/4 mile run all it took was 14 seconds.

I dont think I wanna know what the Temp. really was:eek:

I still think there is a leak. Mine was slow to spool until I got all the leaks fixed.
May be boots and pipes. Get that stuff fixed and extended. that may cure your issues.

In my best Andrew voice "What should I do to fix this take it to the shop that put them on for me they will do it for free or should I ask a million questions and then take it to the shop?"

Leaky pipe

Melted pipe.......Took only 14 seconds.....not as good as Danny's tho
Sweet, add a little heat, add a little torque and lets twist em up. The new ones are ceramic inside stainless? Or ceramic in and out? Remember looking at them, but don't remember.

Dieselman.....would a left rear burnt tail light cause this or maybe low tire pressure, how can I fix it,where can I get the parts.....oooooo I cant get the socket off the ratchet:D

Yea, that would be. I work at a body shop so as you can imagine we do a lot of things here, one of which is major collision repair. We've straightened frames out on trucks like ours and it takes a lot of heat to get one to move. Your talking rose bud heat, You have one tough turbo on that truck I'll say

Very impressive deformation.

My pipes are leaking like the first picture, what's the solution? Gaskets, new up pipes. The bolts on the manifolds look like a chore.

How do you go about sealing the whole system up for quicker spool? I'm thinking I have some work ahead of me.

Simple, get a set of bellowed up pipes from DI or BWD.

The gaskets go bye bye because of the SS collar that fits perfectly into the collector. I also know the IH Version (BWD's) can be assembled on the ground, and lower down from atop the engine, then just tighten to the manifolds and you're set.
Not sure if DI's are that way or not.

You can't do this with the stock pipes because they will be out of alignment, the IH version only goes one way.
