I've searched all over the internet and cannot find a stock gearshifter...its not even an option on the parts list for regular oem parts sites. Does anybody know the part number or where to get one, because i really don't want to go to the stealership. :doh: i hate those damn people

Try a junk yard. Optionally, have some one fab you one. Shouldn't be very difficult to make, and you could even get it a custom length or bend if you wanted.

i dunno about that one garrett right now i have the stock shifter but the jackass before me welded a 1" pipe on the shifter making a "T" shifter and it sucks i just want a stocker....shifter that is

Sorry I jam gears for a living 6-spds. aren't conducive to going very fast either,My 4r100 tows well with a few mods,(converter,vb,big cooler) Plus I don't like hyd. clutches they are kinda like some women they have no feel . lol

A buddy of mine is the same way, after driving bulldozers & gravel trains all day when it's time to go home the last thing he wants to do is jam through the gears.

Yeah I like the sound of a manual Diesel, they have a diffrent rattle to em!

How strong are the manual tranny on 1999.5-2001+ (don't know when they changed or if they use the same...)?

How much power do you plan on throwing at it? I'd upgrade to a good South Bend Clutch for anything over stock power just for good piece of mind.
