While my truck is in the shop getting the IPR replaced, I asked them to check for an oil leak that I had suspected was coming from one of the blue boots..I had read a write up on this before. Now, I ASSUMED it was a CAC boot as the write up had said, but the tech is calling it a "turbo hose." I asked if these were the same things and he said they weren't and that the CAC boots were coming off the intercooler. My question is, could a noticeable oil leak come from a bad "turbo hose"? And, moreover, where is this "turbo hose"? Thanks for any help! Just trying to learn the ins and outs of this truck!

The answer to your question is yes, and it will show up dripping off the bell housing.

CAC tubes / Turbo hose seem interchangeable to most folks and retailers

if he is indeed talking about the boot from the intercooler pipe to turbo

you can upgrade or replace with OEM if high miles

all the oem seem to weep u can search CCV mod to check out some options on getting the oil out of the system
