Why it's scary: Micro-stamping

Gun makers currently don't have a way to meet the CA requirements as laid out in these bills. So, they'll either have to re-tool to meet this new standard for guns sold in CA, adding a fairly hefty surcharge. Or, and this is what the real intent of this law is, they will not be able to sell their product in the state of CA....taking guns away from the people.

The biggest scary issue about the law, is being published in small print by the writers of the bill - ANY semi-auto hangun that is not "micro stamped" equipped after the law goes into effect cannot be transfered. It will be illegal to sell your old firearms so basically they die with you. That is just one step away from them confiscating all Pre-Microstamp guns saying that they are now "un-safe"


I should add once again - another law that will do absolutely nothing to stop crime or to make it easier for law enforcement to identify a hangun used - any criminal knows how to use a file to remove markings.

Join the N.R.A. get involved and stay informed of what the antigun nuts are up to. Could we really loose our guns? You betcha, it's already happened overseas.
I don't agree 100% with some of the N.R.A.s views but they are the best chance we have to keep the antis from stripping away our second Amendment rights.

That really sucks, but there is a suit going on that is trying to prove all of these anti gun laws are unconstitutional. Which I feel they all are. The right to bare arms does not mean the right to bare "CERTAIN" arms. Gun laws only have an impact on us, the law abiding citizens. If the law makers would make penalties for the use of a gun in a crime or the like much stiffer, that might have an impact. use a gun in a crime=life in prison. End of story.

It is the next step after this micro stamping crap. If CA would understand if the people have guns and everyone knows it like the crooks there will be a lot less crime because it will make them think do they have a gun on them.

You cannot just pass legislation outlawing the ownership of guns, but you can pass laws that make the availible pool of firearms smaller and smaller with each pen stroke.

I had a teacher who was in the army, some kind of a special force. Anyways, a select few were pulled aside and asked if they would go around and confiscate guns if they were ever to repeal the 2nd amendment. Every single one of them stood up and said "F&&* NO!!" got up and left...haha. I dont think there is anyway that they are going to be going around and taking guns from people with out a lot of bloodshed, which I dont think our politions are interested in. Now them putting a stop to the sale of any new guns, or the trade of new/used guns, that is what everybody should be more afraid of...
