I finally got my ceramic coated up-pipes, ceramic coated exhaust housing and ceramic coated high flow outlet installed last night. I also removed the foil off the intercooler pipe while I was at it. I thought with everything ceramic coated that my EGT's would go up, but I am seeing a 100degree drop on regular driving. Have not towed yet. With the TN BB turbo, before I spooled at about 1500rpms, and now it starts at about 1200rpms. With the coated stuff it is spooling quicker and the whistle is also louder. These up-pipes are a PITA to install but are a great made product. Removing the foil off that up-pipe is almost worst than installing the up-pipes.

How was the alignment of the pipes at the manifolds? My passenger side was perfect but the drivers side was off some. I was able to suck it into place with the bolts though.

Glad you got those installed. The drop in EGT's would be due to the high flow outlet. The lower RPM spool up and quicker response would be the pipes and housing, and the outlet. We measured some drop in drive pressure, and averaged about 75-100 degree drop in temps with the high flow outlet.

It took about 4 hours to install the turbo, outlet, and uppipes with a couple of beer breaks, but I had to take the turbo off to put the coated high flow outlet, and coated exhaust housing on, plus removed foil on the intercooler pipe. The drivers side was a little hard to line up.

Don't expect to do all of the above in 4 hours if you've never done it before, or don't have some friends.

And if you're only working on this at night's after work and you've got a "Northern" truck/engine don't be surprised if that 4 or 5 hours turns into a 4 day marathon that by the end has involved an angle grinder, sawsall, air chisel and the torch.

I know that engine in mine from up north sure kicked my ass like that when I did the uppies on it the first time. Actually had to use the torch to blow the pieces of bolt out of the manifold flange that were knubbed off at either end and mushroomed from the air chisel trying to punch them out but they were just FROZEN into the manifold.

Northern truck....... better just start with a 6 pack and a torch. Don't even waste your time with the BFH.

:D
